D'Andrea Golf & Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Sparks, Nevada.
D'Andrea Golf Club was designed by course architect Keith Foster. This 6,849-yard, Par 71 layout combines challenging second-shot approaches with a variety of unique designs to test all aspects of the game. The dramatic layout meanders through mountainous foothills and high desert canyons, ascending to a point on the scenic back nine that features some of the most spectacular vistas of the Reno area and the magnificent Sierra Nevada Mountains.
After the completion of your round relax in the 20,000 square foot clubhouse offering you an unparalleled view of Reno and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
D'Andrea Golf Club lost money year after year without the revenue that a robust housing market was expected to provide. In March 2012, Will Gustafson, the managing partner of the ownership group, asked the D'Andrea homeowners association for a $28 monthly maintenance fee from each residence to keep the golf course open.
The homeowners voted against paying the fee. The next day, Mr. Gustafson closed the course. Within weeks, the fairways were burned from the heat. At night, bikers were doing wheelies on the greens and vandals invaded the majestic clubhouse set high on a bluff.
The course closed for play in March 2012

Fun course. Great staff.

Great course -- I played it a couple of years ago and there was construction on houses going on around the course, which made for muddy cart paths and construction areas bleeding into the course. Hopefully, that's all been cleaned up since.

Was my high school home course, so we played it alot. It was a little desert gem, but at times with the wind howling would be an elusive beast of a course. Too bad she closed down, someone should open it up, and build a nice clubhouse with an amazing view!
